The Ion is a quick, sleek, and affordable Coupe that really is a 4 door without looking like a sedan thanks to the dual suicide doors(and the kids cant open them on the road) It has great gas mileage, 550-600 kms per tank (about 40 litre)

This is the 2007 Saturn Ion. to be exact, it is the 2007 Saturn Ion 2 midlevel, with the sun-roof and spoiler package. This is the last year for this wonderful car, as it is going to be replaced by the 2008 Saturn Astra, a three or five door hatch. Anyway, back to the Ion. This year, all engines earned an additional 5hp, bringing ours to 145hp. This sound small, but considering that the car is mostly plastic, this is quite a substantial amount of power. It is enough to spin the tires and make people look your way. It is a credit to their luck if they do look your way, for this model features tateful brushed aluminum accents, and ours has a spoiler and a power sun-roof. It really makes you reconsider the north-american auto market, and for me, it put Saturn on the radar. I am really sad about Saturn's decision to abandon this car for the new Astra hatch. Not the best decision they've ever made.

great car, great looking fun to drive, interior leaves a little to be desired with a black dash and carpet and almost everything else is tan, good performance, acceleration braking and handling all very nice, well built car as far as i can tell, haven't had to get under it yet, gets great gas mileage, while i was driving it for 2 weeks i averaged atleast 32 mpg, thats with city and highway driving
