Picture of 2007 Saab 9-3 SportCombi With 72 cubic feet of cargo space and the lowest ownership cost in its class, the Saab 9-3 SportCombi makes itself an easy sell. It's an obvious contender for those seeking a versatile vehicle with a good compromise between efficiency and utility. Given that it's only in its second year, the 2007 Saab 9-3 does not appear to have changed from 2006. But there are always some changes in every car from model year to model year, and the ones that have been made here mostly pertain to the lists of standard equipment and available features as well as an added color choice, Titan Grey Metallic. Saab has done a mild reconfiguring of the jet-inspired cockpit, enlarging the instrument cluster and maximizing efficiency by changing some dials to buttons and making things streamlined in general. Saab has consciously worked to enhance the driver's enjoyment behind the wheel, and this includes their choice of a somewhat wrap-around instrument panel that in a way becomes one with the driver, almost to the point where he can imagine he's up among the clouds. A green light illuminates the gauges, but its Night Panel switch darkens everything but the speedometer when the sun goes down, with the purpoe of minimizing driver distraction. A new standard feature is the automatic dual-zone climate control, which is becoming de rigueur on today's European-branded cars. On the higher-priced Aero trim, a 6-speed automatic transmission replaces the 5-speed, upping fuel efficiency a tad. New options consist of a Bose audio system, the OnStar Safety and Security System, red walnut interior trim, and upgraded wheels. Safety equipment on the 9-3 SportCombi is not lacking by any means, as the list ranges from an electronic stability system with ABS and electronic brake-force distribution to a full complement of airbags (including side-impact and side-curtain units) and Active Head Restraints. Interior space is sufficient, especially for cargo; a handy pass-through feature on the rear-seat armrest allows for items like skis to be placed inside the car without sacrificing seating for two rear passengers. And in the cargo area, Saab's innovative TwinFloor system maximizes storage utility by splitting the space into two distinct sections, with recessed storage in the main floor. A grocery-bag net holds items that are prone to tipping.

This is the best car I have ever owned. I have the car for about one year so I can't really comment on the maintenance but I can say that the overall quality of the car is excellent. There are no squeaks and rattles even though is is over five years old. Performance and handling are great for a station wagon. When the turbo kicks in this baby flies. The car has good traction and handles well on ice and snow. The gas milage is a little low - I can go about 360 Km on one tank in mostly city driving. In retrospect I should have looked for a 5 speed instead of the automatic as it is probably more fun to drive and gets better gas milage.

The Saab 93SC Handles amazingly with it's passive rear steering I look for all the sharp bends I can find. Our Sport-Combi is extremely comfortable with leather interior standard and optional heated seats. The fuel economy is great with 32 mpg. We added a cold air intake and now instead of the 210 crank hp stock we had it on the dyno and now have a whopping 251 hp to the wheels from our little 4 cylinder 2.0T( high pressure turbo)! If you have never had the pleasure of driving one of these cars you need to go to your nearest dealer and test drive one. It is the best kept secret on the market!

The acceleration is magnificent, you will slip back on you chair when it unleash her horses from the performance. & you need to be always awake when you drive it. The turbo at this car is powerful and you can challenge any car on the road without any fears & tears.
