The arrival of the new Continental GT in 2003 signified the Bentley's total separation from Rolls Royce. Prior to the GT, all Continentals had built upon Rolls platforms. In the early part of the decade, Rolls Royce production was taken over by BMW, while Bentley remained under the VW Group's umbrella. The new GT is a 2+2 grand tourer, built on Volkswagen's D-Platform. Sharing its foundation with cars like the Audi A8 and VW Phaeton, the GT is priced far lower than traditional Rolls and Bentley models. Like over $100,000 lower. The GT's power plant is a Volkswagen-designed 6.0 liter twin supercharged W-12. A new six speed automatic transmission delivers the W-12's power to all four wheels: a trio of new Bentley features working in tandem. The engine provides 552 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque, sending the unique coupe from 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds.

(41 reviews)The Bentley was a great car to drive. the performance was amazing. power on tap all the way through the rpm band. Brakes amazingly well from just about all speeds and handles like a Bentley should. The build of the car is flawless with no defects at all, and of course its appearance is second to none. Over all a great car to have if you can afford it.
absolutely amazing car, gorgeous inside and out, probably the most comfotable car i have driven, amazing engine tone from the 6 litre w12 that sits under the bonnet
Bentley Continental GT, Fantastic Automobile, however maintenance is very high. No problem if one can afford them. A Jewel !
acceleration is great with twin turbo braking - some of the best brakes there are handling is crazy this car is fun to drive with 600 watts of bass and a reving engine but its a v12 so i fill it up with super every other day
I got into this old girl thinking it was an old mans car. Stopped on the gas... It was the first time I ever got tunnel vision. The only car I've seen with a better interior is an Aston Martin Vanquish. Acceleration... Well, it's a W16 with four turbo, 550+hp and AWD... Enough said. With all that car I though breaking would be hard. Not so. I will admit it could handle a tad better.
