The engine sits behind the front axle but ahead of the passenger cabin (officially a front mid-engine layout), providing the V8 Vantage with unique sports-car balance, handling, and stability. With its V8, the Vantage can leap from 0 to 60 in about five seconds. Interior features include hand-stitched leather seats, an aluminum instrument panel with three-dimensional gauges, an organic electroluminescent (OEL) central message display, a glass starter button, power-adjustable front seats, a premium stereo system with a six-disc CD changer, and automatic climate control. The V8 Vantage also comes with a full range of safety features, including traction control, electronic stability control, and dual-stage front airbags, as well as side airbags. Another nice feature is a full set of luggage, which fits neatly into the rear cargo space of the coupe, accessible via the car's rear hatchback.
