Used 2006 Subaru Legacy for Sale near Seattle, WA
A 2005 redesign means there are few changes to the 2006 Subaru Legacy. Available as a sedan or wagon, the Legacy features an impressive all-wheel drive system, that is either continuous, active, or variable depending on your transmission choice. The 2006 Legacy comes in base 2.5i, 2.5i Limited, 2.5i Special Edition, GT Limited, and the new for 2006 GT Limited Spec.B, which is more sports performance-oriented.
All feature the boxer 2.5-liter flat-4 engine. The turbo GTs rate at 250-hp, and the non-turbo get a minor boost to 175-hp this year. A 5-speed manual is standard on all, with an optional 4-speed auto on the non-turbo and a 5-speed auto tran with Sportshift on the GTs. All 2006 Legacys comes with ABS brakes, side and curtain airbags, but no stability or traction control. Other additions for 2006 include an optional navigation system on the GT Limited, and 17-inch alloy wheels for the non-turbos.
The GT Limited Spec.B offers a sports suspension, 18-inch alloy wheels, a 3-spoke steering wheel, side ground effects with chrome trim, standard navigation system, and a silver metallic color. It only comes with the manual transmission. Other Legacys are well equipped. As you move up from the base model, leather trim, auto climate control, power front seats, a sunroof, and fog lights become standard. Heated leather seats, a popular option, are standard on the turbos.
Highlights for the 2006 Legacy is its all-wheel drive capability in snow, the quiet and smooth ride and feel, the powerful turbo, and the list of standard features. The car looks big, but feels light on the road thanks to aluminum parts. Negative comments point out that rear seats don't fold, the rear legroom is tight, there is some turbo lag, and the GTs take premium gas.

(29 reviews)What can I say... I love the car. This is my 2nd one. I got in a real bad accident with my first. It saved my life. As far as performance goes it is great. I just keep adding more. It's so fun to drive. I would work a little more on the handling. It doesn't like to corner to well. The upgraded sway bars do help it though. In my opinion the only thing I don't like about the interier is the wood trim. It's a little to luxury to me but I deal. Overall it is a great car, it's got great safety features, and it is VERY FUN to drive.
The 2.0 H4 Engine is a powerful engine (sometimes I wish I went for the H6 engine). The best thing in this car is it's handling, even on high speeds. I can easily say it's the best among competition. On high speed, the car just graps the road, I've tested it on its top speed of 220Km/H and it was stable better than lots of cars at half that speed.
Alright, so it's not a Limited it's just a 2.5 GT. It must be a Canadian spec vehicle because GT Limited is the only option I could choose for 2006. What this means is that the car doesn't have leather or a sunroof. Nevertheless, what it does have is a detuned version of the WRX STi engine. It's a 2.5L DOHC Horizontally-Opposed turbocharged 4 cylinder rated at 250 HP and 250 LB-FT of torque. Power is put to the ground through a 5-speed manual and Subaru's full-time symmetrical all-wheel drive system. Simply put, this car goes like STINK. Styling is pretty subdued in the GT model though. Other than the hood scoop and 17" alloys shod with ZR rated rubber, it just looks like a regular Legacy. It's a simple, clean-cut sedan that doesn't have the "Hey look at me!" styling of the WRX. As for build quality, it's a Subaru. Panels fit evenly, doors close with a solid thud, tolerances are minimal and unforeseen mechanical problems are a rarity. Not to mention, safety ratings are top of it's class and the AWD system is quite simply one of the best on the market.
Acceleration is pretty good, braking is really good, handling is amazing The car rattles a little when turning... but that's normal Looks pretty kick ass Gets around 32 mpg when driving normal Really fun to drive (Fast, handling, braking) Came with some pretty sporty tires too.
This is my second Subaru, and probably not my last. This car has been 99.9% trouble-free, all I have done is regular maintenance for two years and it's been perfectly reliable the entire time.
