Used 2005 Toyota Camry SE FWD for Sale near Hagerstown, MD
4.6 Overall rating
(5 reviews)Economically, get this car. Build is great, and styling is quite good. Also it's surprisingly fun to drive.
Very reliable transportation. Performance is not top of the line, but well worth the money (4 cylinder engine). Cheap to maintain as it never breaks down. Disappointing gas mileage ( Toyota claimes 10 liters per 100 kms, but I never got less than 12 in the city).
Best car ever the design is sublime. From the blacked out sport grill to the flared wheel arches and modelista rocker panels . I added a TRD supercharger and intake made the car accelerate like a dream. Awesome build quality it's better than the 2010 camry thats for sure
It's not the fastest car in the world, but it's decently spec'd out. Gas mileage is decent if keeping your foot off the gas. Build quality--Toyota Excellent. It is decently fun to drive, too much pitch and roll in the corners, but could easily be solved with a new set of stiffer shocks
In one 50 mile round trip I go on every kind of road this car is designed to travel on: from gravel/dirt, to two lane country, to four lane town, to eight/six lane major highways (28, and 66). On average I take this trip three times a week. I also used to car pool the 26 mile round trip to my school in Arlington VA through DC traffic 5 days a week. So this car has seen everything!! Acceleration- smooth as long as you don't hit the 'threshold.' There is a point at which the fuel injectors kick it up a few notches too high and the automatic transmission refuses to kick in killing your gas mileage as well as 0-60 time. Really its not a problem at all for normal driving!! It only becomes a problem when passing on two lane roads and getting onto major highways with no merge room or getting up to seep quickly. Braking- with the standard breaks, as long as you don't engage the anti-lock function, they are very responsive! Handling- it has a god feel to it but when you hit 70 the car is sensitive the tiny movements on the wheel. A.k.a. movements that keep you in one lane but you move from one side to the other. Yet, surprisingly when it comes to changing lanes quickly or evasive manurers at higher speeds [63-67mph] the car handles very smoothly and with great response. Unfortunately I've had dodge some accidents on 66 a few times. OFF YOUR CELL PHONES WHILE DRIVING PEOPLE!!!!! Build Quality- The only things I would change about this car is 1) the shocks- I would tighten them up a little more so when handling the car through out of the ordinary circumstances the driver gets more feedback from the car 2) the transmission's quality is not the best on my automatic. It slips a lot between 1st and 2nd. And the clutch activates for too long when trying to get a quick start. Appearance- The exterior paint/finnish does not wear well. Its collected a lot of little scratches which kills the shine of the paint flecks. And there are two spots where the paint and finnish have corroded away. Giving way to one small rust spot. Other then that though I think the car looks great!! The interior is very comfortable!! It cools off quickly in the summer and warms up amazingly fast in the winter. -Only takes about 3 min for the defrosters to melt ice and snow on the windshield enough to use the whippers to take the rest off. (within reason of course) Fun Factor: 9/10!! I have the sunroof package and having all the windows down and that open on a nice summer day driving down two lane roads with music and sounds of the road in my ear with my girlfriend in the car with friends.. there is nothing better!!
