Overall, the 2005 GMC Canyon presents a mixed bag to prospective buyers. While you get good gas mileage and an easy-to-use instrument panel, you also don't have a V6 or V8 engine to boost overall power and towing capacity. In addition, the interior design and materials could use some work. Consumers in the market for a pickup truck who don't need the horsepower or pizzazz of the Canyon's counterparts will still appreciate this overall solid domestic vehicle.
