Finally got an XJ! 4.2 V8, but the aluminium body makes it no heavier on fuel than my previous 3.0 V6 X Type. Hit the sport button and this car really shifts. Big and comfy, superb handling. It's a big car but it somehow shrinks around you when you drive it. I'm in love!

The “X350” generation of the flagship Jaguar XJ was introduced in 2004, and it was one of the BEST luxury sedans of all time. This generation of the XJ combine classic Jaguar style, a beautiful interior, and the all-aluminum body makes the X350 lighter than its competitors. Engine options ranged from a naturally-aspirated 4.2 liter V8 with 294 horsepower, to a supercharged 4.2 liter V8 with 400 horsepower.

Ferociously fast, hugely comfortable, and enjoyably understated, the XJR never ceases to surprise and impress me with its blend of traditional Jaguar styling and contemporary engineering. The aluminium body makes it remarkably agile for a big car, and motorways are dispatched with disdain. It's not a cheap car to maintain with 20" wheels, enormous brakes and a thirst for petrol, but it is undoubtedly entirely worth the investment.

The x350 Jaguar XJ & XJR is by far the last of the iconic Jaguars. These 2004-2009 Offer similar features as cars made in 2022.

It rides like the large, comfortable sedan that it is. But it accellerates, brakes and handles like a sports car. No compromise of either. The best combination of the two Ive ever experienced.
