Used 2003 Suzuki XL-7 for Sale near Lebanon, TN
Other than a redesigned interior, automatic climate control, and 6 disc cd player, Suzuki switched up the trim levels for 2003. Instead of Standard and Plus, the XL-7 now comes in 2WD and 4WD versions of the Touring and Limited SUV's. All 4 trims have a 2.7 L, 183 hp V6 engine. Touring trims have standard 5 speed manual and optional 4 speed automatic transmission while Limited trims have 4 speed automatic transmission.
Gas mileage comes out to 17 mpg in the city and 20 on the highway. All 4 trims have 4 doors, seat 7, and tow up to 3000 lbs. If you need more standard and optional features, go with a Limited trim. Finally, for those who need to carry a lot, the XL-7 delivers up to 75 cubic feet of cargo space with the second and third row folded down.
Overall, drivers will tell you that the XL-7 gives you decent handling and good seating capacity at a low price. However, passenger space in the back rows gets a bit tight and V6 powertrain could use a little extra juice. If you're looking for a solid first SUV with limited funds, look into an XL-7.

(4 reviews)Solid car with enough power, and when you need the 4WD this not giant SUV climbs trees like squirrel. Its a well designed vehicle and comfortable. If ya want one get all the goodies and definitely 4wd cuz ya can park em anywhere almost, and they will crawl out of anything. These cars handle road well as most are all wheel ABS. The goodies can be had at a fair price and they retain value.
Love the way this drives and handles. Great reliable vehicle for work. Rear A/c went out at 120k miles but bypassed it and front a/c is working great. This was a bargain new in 2003 and wish they still made this body style.
I bought this car in 2006 and have only had trouble with the gas cap door. It has been very reliable. Over the last year or two an Check Engine light has come on which the error code meant some emission sensor - mechanica said it was nothing. The door ajar light is on but no door is in trouble. Fantastic vehicle. I am just afraid its going to die some morning on the way to the airport
Well, the only actual thing I didn't enjoy that much was the car's front design. A bit too outdated, even in 2003. I never had any trouble with maintenance, although it was hard to get over 6km/l in it. And of course, a very fun drive when there is snow or anything other than tarmac around!
