Used 2001 Toyota Prius for Sale near Washington
The 2001 Toyota Prius was born into a world of Sports Utility Vehicles and seemed determined from the start to make things "right"...even if this righting of the world could put the owner out more than $20,000.
Intelligently designed for the wants of today's driver, the Prius features a tall cabin, making it easy for passengers to enter and exit. This ironically gives it an SUV-type feel. Of course, once you take to the road, you will realize you're actually sitting in a car, as the upright cabin does not give the commanding view the gas guzzlers tend to.
The 1.5-liter, fuel-injected gas engine produces only 70 horsepower, but rewards drivers with about 52 miles per gallon.

(9 reviews)This is a great little car. The trunk is valuable for those who like to hide their stuff as the 2nd Generation (2004 to 2009) and 3rd generation Prius do not have a trunk. It's fuel economy is not quite as good as the newer, more sophisticated Prius, but still well above average for a car of this size.
Reliable and comfortable. Never had any problems with it. Has a great ride. Not that much power, but I am not really interested in that. It is a great car to drive - very smooth and quiet. Would highly recommend it.
This is a nice looking 4-door vehicle. It is a great commuter car at 42mpg. On long trips, ride can get a little snug. It does have more space that Gen 2 Prius for cargo. Overall a fund car to drive and you smile each time you go to the gas station
Instant torque so it's always fun to smoke people at green light, and of course get passed. I bought the car at 27,000 miles for $7000. Seats are comfy, and it's handling is pretty good. I can manage to make my tank of gas last for two weeks, except in cold weather, when it's expandable bladder technology in it's gas tank makes it shrink and holds only 7-8, and not 10 like normal. When it switches over to electric, it sounds dead silent and will freak any new prius owner or new passenger out, thinking that it shut off.
My statement still stands. great car. Still on fire btw
