(1 reviews)I bought my 2000 Monterro Sport a in 2010 for around $4000 with 148,000 miles on it. It has served me well for the past couple of years. It's had a leak somewhere near the back of the engine causing it to purge oil, and causing a slight burning odor since I purchased the truck. It's not a huge problem and can either be fixed or resolved by topping off the oil every couple of weeks. Recently, the torque converter has begun to slip, and an electrical issue has emerged that drains my battery overnight. My solution currently is to disconnect the battery when I'm not driving. The problem with this is that the engine idle settings have to be reset every time I drive the car after reconnecting the battery. This leads to stalls when the car is stopped for the first 30 minutes of driving until the idle controls are reset. Overall, I like the vehicle, it just seems that I found a lemon.
