The 1997 model year was the Toyota Previa’s swan song. Toyota was preparing to roll out the more conventional Sienna, which mimicked American-made minivans with a larger engine and run-of-the-mill styling. For its last year, the Previa saw revisions to its engine to make it less noisy and reduce vibrations.
The 1997 Previa came in four trims: the DLX, the DLX AllTrac, the LE, and the LE AllTrac. All shared a supercharged 2.4-liter, 161-horsepower four-cylinder engine. Fuel economy was about 17/21 mpg. The 1997 Previa sat seven people, and had the option of captains’ chairs in the second row instead of a bench. The last row of seats could be pinned to the sides of the car to create more cargo space.
While it was never a big seller, the Toyota Previa had a legion of loyal fans who were disappointed that the manufacturer ended production of the minivan. The Previa was loved for its unusual egg-shaped body and space age interior, not to mention for its ample leg and cargo space, car-like handling, and bulletproof reliability. Still, its lack of power and unseal appearance made most people pass by the Previa when minivan shopping, and those who did buy one found that it was lacking many amenities that other vans had.

(7 reviews)This vehicle handles well. Smooth driving & comfortable. Lots of room. Great for long or short distance traveling. Good power with Super Charger.
This car primarily intended to pleasure trips with family and friends. Of course can also be run in sporty engine allows it.This car is the same for several years and I have not stayed on track, to the home is always. Weak area of the car is the coolant can be heated without noticing. In essence, everything.
I love this van! I can sleep comfortably while my driver sits a mile away, or not. The awd works great sticking to the roads here at Lake Tahoe and I should really not be saying this because we want another one.
a 2.4 petrol engin it was a bit slow to get going but could go all day once going, brakes not too bad the stearing was a bit slow not instant responce, never needed any real work doing to it engine haed to reach but was a good seven seeter car, handles as a van, inside very good not the life of luxuary but comfortable, plenty of leg room, heavy on fuel, but as low maintance and insurance the cost was ballanced out, not a fun car to drive but a pratical one.
SO DIFFICULT TO STEER, UGLY, SCARY TO DRIVE...I thought I was going to destroy smaller cars I guess it is extremely safe....and roomy but ewwwww. I pity Juno for driving this beast
