The car is a great first car. Easy to work on and great on gas, 33mpg. I bought the car in feb 2003 and sold her in december 2007. Never had an engine or tranny related problem. Not a fan of the electrical on the 420a engine though... I had feedback from the ignition coil pack and it fried the ECU and the Auto shut down Relay for the injectors.

Awesome car with no complaints, but for peak performance get the turbo...

I loved this car, it had a nice bodykit, rims, masterflow, and many more after market stuff. Its good on gas, its a head turner. Blew the engine while trying to be a show off! :/ RIP dear eclipse ... you will be missed =p

I love it just wish it was a 4g63 =] its drives nicely handles amazingly and gas is pretty good to it has needed and egr valve but other than that shes strong i heard and saw that dsm's are pretty bad with transmissions but hey what car doesnt have its negatives =]

This car was very fun... It ran pretty quick for a stock 1.8 engine... Car was too small for me, and I am only 5'6... I felt unsafe in such a crowded car... The back tires make a whirring sound on most 95-98 models after about 60,000 miles... Speaker setup was great for sound...
