Chevrolet's 1995 Astro van has a slightly updated style and is slightly longer and heavier than previous Astros. Air conditioning, a tilt steering wheel, and power window and door locks were standard; many extra features were available on its fancier models, such as a programmable garage door transmitter on the LT model.
The 4.3-liter, 6-cylinder engine was given reduced power in 1995 at 190 hp. It has 3 doors, 5 seats, and can carry up to 8 people. Fuel economy is rated at 16/21 for city, 15/19 for all-wheel drive.
Owner reviews say the 1995 Chevy Astro has lots of cargo room and is very reliable overall. Many reviews say it's very comfortable and an excellent deal for the money. It's common for engines to run for at least 300,000 miles.
The AWD trims do very well in ice or snow. On the negative side, some comment that access is difficult for disabled people, there is not enough legroom for the driver, and the 2WD versions can slide or skid in ice or snow.
The suspension can be a problem; front torsion bars can fail. Items that had frequent problems or needed attention according to owners included brakes, front idler arms, transmission, windshield wiper motors, and paint.

(5 reviews)its a yank so it has soft comfy leather seats with arms.you can fall asleep in them.(ask anyone who has sat in them) Its quick,has 200bhp,rear wheel drive,cruise control(handy when a good film is on,lol),seats 7.I want to get the outside resprayed and get some bigger alloys to improve the ride cos it is a bit wallowy.It is solid which is good cos I have 2 12"subs,19"tv,dvd changer,cd changer,ipod,xbox360.all amped up using mtx amps and speakers and alpine headunit. I have a knight rider light fitted to the front grille.I love it and it seems to put a smile on faces all over.
I am a fan of the Astro/Safari. This particular model had VERY low miles. Needs paint, tho. I feel I overpaid but its like getting a new old car with only 39k miles for a 95.
A very rare car in germany and a big one on our streets in germany. The parking places are smal in our country. I have heard, that some people replace a V8 in this car !!!, this is incredibly. Sorry for my bad english. Norbert from Germany
Performance was Awsome Built to last Its apperance was like Patches O'Hulihan with the shineiest 20 inch shoes u ever seen it cost bout 60 bucks top fill up and bout 3 stacks to keep up The fun factor in it was 1. Pined out 2. Had that beat out at the Kappa, Clubs, And local Car Shows knockin like tha Popo's
many summers in these damn things. cargo ones. a/c never worked
