Big bad green SUV. pretty much buletproof. Engine rock solid, still on the original tranny after 216000 miles. cost 2500 which i still think was a steal. great car to drive if not a little top heavy. slides around on wet roads too

A great SUV for its time. So many others were overpriced compared to this truck. Great power, and lots of features compared to other makes.

The Trooper has been one of the most underrated SUV’s from the 80’s and 90’s. Performance, comfort and economy was generally better than advertised. Second generation Troopers from ‘92 to ‘97 were not as overly encumbered with technology, and the ‘95.5 to ‘97’s were in my mind the best of the lot.
