I never thought I'd be a Pajero fan, but having driven them I dont see what all the fuss is about the prado! The pajero beats the prado hands down! a REALLY tough vehicle, I have LITERALLY bashed dunes with the 2nd generation pajero, and NOTHING EVER broke! the 2500 diesel turbo is a bit underpowered for highway cruising, but it has REAL low gears and no gradients can stop it! build-quality is spot on, luxury amenities abound, styling is still awesome! The SWB version is really fun to throw around!

It starts every Morning, goes anywhere, it feels more solid than a car a quarter of it's age. It looks imposing. But the most important part is that is just such massive fun to drive. It's like going to work in a tonka toy, And it tows the caravan a dream.
