wonderful car. very smooth ride. love the air ride. freeway gas mileage is about 22-25 mpg. city gas mileage is 17-20 mpg. the trans has a sloppy 3-4 shift which was corrected by putting the aod-e shift correction kit. now had nice firm shifts.

Never left me stranded. solid built frame over rwd vehicle . OK get up and go but ford should have used PI heads like on newer crown vics and mustangs at the time. stock single exhaust sucks. AODE tranny known or lockup/torque converter issues. Tonnes of room, nicely equiped for a car at that time.

I like everything about the car Except doing repairs on it. Most of it is not bad but they put simple parts to replace in areas that make it next to impossible to change them out. Like an O2 Sensor. They put 2 of them on my model and one is deep down on the passenger side of the vehicle behind things that make it hard to get out. The other is someplace down below the car that if you dont know what you are looking for or at you have no clue what it is or how to find it. That goes for many things on this car. This is just one example
