This truck was really good, the handling was much better once it was lowered a few inches. It wasn't too fast and it was a stick shift. The car had some body rust, but I had fixed it. This truck was really reliable, and I never had to fix anything on it outside of the body work.

Performance, its one of those things where it feels like you have a lot of power under the hood when you really don't. With the 4.3L V6 it is pretty brawny and if you open her up she'll pin you into the seat a little bit but the limited amount of punch reminds you that you are in a little truck. Quality, my dad bought this truck from a friend of his he worked with a few years ago and at 179,835mi on the odometer I can make a 90 mile trip with no serious problems though if I try to maintain a speed over 70mph the engine begins to overheat. This brings me to recommend a 93' S-10 for relatively easy work commutes or light towing jobs. Appearance, The boxy shape of the entire truck was a "no go" for me when I first started driving it but the boxy shape grew on me in the sense that it was a little more unique than generic to the thousands of other round styled cars and trucks I see more of today. Overall, I would recommend this truck to anyone who wants a vehicle easy to maintain with its North-South, engine orientation and not so complicated inner workings. Everything I have ever had to replace in this truck was a sinch. The most expensive thing I have had to replace was the radiator but that was because of rust build up. I did not watch the radiator fluid amounts like I should have and it became more water than antifreeze for a while. I love this truck. lol

The exterior has alot of character. The 2.8L V6 has alot of "Get-up and Go Power". The down side, is the control layout. It can be very difficult to find the control you're looking for, while driving. It definitly rides like a truck though. Mine is the 5 speed standard edition, and it rides like a fun old truck.
