not a bad car-without powersteering it is quite heavy to drive at low speeds,good for its time -fair for nowadays.The volvo 340 was powered by either a 1.4L or a 1.7L renault engine.The 1.7L 8 valve carb engine gave out 81 hp and reasonable torque which gives it reasonable pace considerng the car weighs in at 1000kgs meaning 80 hp/tonne.not a bad car-and definatley one that should be preserved for the future.
