Used Volvo 740 for Sale near Phoenix, AZ

This is without a doubt the best car I have ever owned. I paid 50 dollars for it 3 years ago with 378,000 miles on it. It now has 440,000 miles on it and it has never, ever failed me. It gets 25 miles a gallon, hauls all my tools for my mobile auto repair business, and my kids to school every day. I have driven it from New York City all the way down to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Although they have the reputation of being driven by people that qualify to own a free bus pass, the volvo 740 is actually quite a good car. It's an affordable way of owning a lot of luxury (mine had heated leather seats etc) as long as you can live with the Volvo badge. In terms of build quality, well they are often reffered to as "tanks" and for good reason. They can take alot more punishment than alot of other cars and have a presence on the road which makes even the bravest of drivers dart out of your way! As for performance, well mine got from 0-60............eventually! due to their size i would certainly recommend a turbo version. Handling - you would be forgiven if you thought you were at the wheel of a large boat as the ride is a little......soft :) however, once mastered it is possible to have alot of fun in one as they are rear wheel drive.

Typical 80's styling(front end looks similar to that of a DeLorean), still runs well.

I like the stablilty and safe build of this car. I like the easy to do repairs and cheap spare parts. I like the very cheap repair bills ;) I like the design and the interior space, got plenty of room for 5 people and a a kidcar. I am not so happy for the fuel consumption - but this is made up by all the other advantages.

It's a 740 Turbo, with a 16T off a 850R, it moves well, the stereo has been upgraded, but the rest of the car is stock, steelies on all four axle ends, with tyres fitted. Plans are to make it a very quick car while looking mostly stock.
