this car was a legend, i had the 1.9, it was quick and nimble and could compete with much more sofisticated machines, even today this car rates highly.

This car was superb. Quick, nimble and reliable. It looked good too and didnt cost the Earth to insure! I was sad when I sold it and the guy who took it off my hands didnt even argue over the price.

Absolutely stonking car. Yes there were faster cars and better handling cars but nothing that put it all together in quite the same way. Point it at a good A or B road, light the blue touch paper and stand well back. This car has humbled Porsches, Astons, Scoobies and so on when the road got tough; and all within the speed limit officer. I did 175,000 miles in mine and was very very sad to see it go. In some ways it even bettered the Caterham as it was still usable in the wet, you could get four people in it and it was also practical.
