These Like most Mercedes from yesteryear were well built and fairly expensive this one was about 58000 sticker price when new so they are comparatively cheap to buy now say about 10 to 20% of that sticker on an average deal

Beautiful car and fun to drive. Definitely an attention grabber, very stylish! Awesome car for top down driving. Good power, handles and brakes well. Has good leg room for driver, I am 6'1" and was always very comfortable driving this classic.

I have always dreamed of owning a 560sl. I bought this used on CL for $5000 and it was in perfect shape. I owned it for 10 months and sold it for $6000. I could not afford the gas. I am a Mercedes diesel owner too and I much prefer the sound and cost of a diesel. The 560sl was a fun car to drive but I quickly realized that I did not enjoy paying a lot for gas (premium) and not driving very far until you you have to gas up again. This car is so fast that it will pass anything except a gas station.
