About Pontiac Fiero Base
4.4 Overall rating(8 reviews)
May 25, 2008
The Pontiac Fiero was GM's answer to rising concerns of fuel and emission standards. The 84 Fiero lacked performance, only available with a 2.5L inline 4 cyl, but could average around 35 mpg on the highway. What the 84 Fiero did do was prove to GM that America was ready for a new kind of car.

This car is well made and is a blast to drive!
May 30, 2010
Fiero was a great little car, although it was a disappointment when it came to performance. It was underpowered (to my expectations) and didn't handle all that well. All that being said, I wonder if anyone has been able to "juice" theirs up and perhaps even improve the handling with more up to date products?
Dec 7, 2010
performance: no power at all the 2.5 inline four was pathetic.
Build quality: cheap plastic interior so it cracked.
Appearance: looked cool and unique
Cost of ownership: Needed lots of work at only 70,000 miles not reliable.
Fun Factor: Never got to drive it much it was always broken.
May 5, 2008
This car delivers a great driving experience, its fun, practical for its class, and its easy to make it better.
