The MG B is a car packed with character and fun. Although it's little 1.8L engine only produces 95hp, it's more than capable of handling modern traffic, thanks to it's relatively low weight. Rust protection is not ideal, always make sure your car has always had sufficient aftermarket rust protection, especially if your car has always been in a wet climate. Parts are cheap and every single thing is still made and easy to get. So go for it, feel the wind in your hair, while you still have some!

I purchased this beauty in 1995 from a California owner who gave me their records going back to 1987 (I don’t have the cars history for the first 8 years of its life). As I was only 23 when I purchased so I felt I had to make my own statement therefore I… 1. Installed shorter coil springs in front (about 2 inches) 2. Installed lower leaf springs in the rear (about 1 inch – so yes it’s lower in front than back) 3. Replaced stock Steering wheel with a leather wrapped Lecarra with MG Logo. 4. Replaced stock shift knob with leather wrapped MG logo item from Victoria British LTD. 5. Moved CAT away from exhaust manifold to under car (kept cracking) went to 2 ½ diameter pipes added glass pak and dual chrome tips. Sounds great not obnoxious. 6. Replaced painted wire wheels with 8 spoke alloy wheels (with chrome knock offs). 7. R&R rectangle side mirrors on doors and installed Bullet mirrors (flat) on front fenders centered over wheel hubs. 8. Removed Luggage rack from rear deck lid. 9. Added black carpet in boot to match interior. 10. R&R water choke with Manual choke. 11. R&R points ignition with electric ignition. 12. I personally re-painted this car to a brighter Yellow than factory. Engine Bay, trunk, door sills still original. 13. I’m sure there are other personal touches I’ve made but am not thinking of them right now… I really like this car...in the 16 years I’ve owned her I have put on about 26k miles or about 1,600 miles per year which is reflective of the weather in Vancouver, WA. USA.
