Used 1976 Holden Torana for Sale near Birmingham, AL

I love this car, everytime I get in to drive it it's an experience. It loves the open road and especially likes to cruise along in the sun.

this particular vehicle started life as a six cylinder four speed manual. Its since had a 5 ltr 308ci engine installed and runs a four speed manual to a locked diff. from a standing start the car accelerates very hard breaking traction in 1st and 2nd gears i estimate the top speed of the torana with its gear ratios to be around 220km/h. this car has had BIG $$$ spent on suspension it runs koni adjustable shocks in the front with superlow king springs and in the rear it has bilstein shocks and lowered king springs. brakeing is done through cross drilled and sloted front disc's and drum rears however they will be changed for disc's when the diff upgrade is done.Interior is factory original except for two recaro racing seats and soon to have harness's and a roll cage

It cost $500 to buy second hand and I sold it for $500 after over two years of ownership. It wasn't the most reliable car, but it was simple and so relatively easy to maintain and fix. Had to replace the clutch cable (yes a cable!) once and the column shift lever. It was also prone to overheating from time to time (I kept bottles of water to top up the radiator). I fitted an Alpine stereo to the car which sat on the transmission hump and I covered it with a T-shirt to prevent it being stolen. The stereo probably doubled the value of the car! The car could be opened with a screw driver so I was amazed that the stereo never got stolen.

God it is a beautiful piece of Austrailian engineering, as i say a sexy piece of machinery. while not the v8 version, or Peter Brock performance car, an amazing day to day drive. sounds like the ulimate performace car when it is purring at a high speed.

yea its my first car, intend to build it up to be something special. goes hard, no numbers on it but i rekon its putting out 150 - 160hp from the 202. has a 5 speed Vk box, 3.08 banjo diff. is red and with blackouts. centerline style mags
