About 1973 Toyota Celica
Overview

The 1973 Toyota Celica did not see any significant changes from the previous year. Although it was only in its third year on the US market, by 1973 the Celica was considered another Toyota success.
The 1973 Toyota Celica was available in one trim level, the ST coupe. It had a four-cylinder, 1.6-liter engine.
The 1973 Celica was well liked due to its sporty styling, which was reminiscent of early Ford Mustangs. Owners liked that they could get a dependable Japanese car but not have to settle for boring style. Today, the 1973 Celica has many admirers who love the cars decidedly 70s appearance. While customizations of the e1973 Celica are popular, there are plenty of other owners who insist on keeping their Celicas in original, pristine condition.

Love how this car handles. Braking and acceleration is awesome and handles really well. She hasn't needed to much in regards to repairs but has had a lot of replacement parts under the bonnet, but that's to be expected for her age. Exterior body work is still on great condition and the interior is spotless, however if I ever had the money would love to re-do the interior door panels, floors and put a sturdier rear-window parcel shelf in so that I could finally have the 6x9 200W speakers I want. Wouldn't mind putting a sports steering wheel in too, and exchanging the current pedals for racing ones too :-) I love driving this car!!

I fell instantly in love with my little dark green 73 Celica the first time I saw it!! I gave it four stars due to lack of power steering and it had a little quirk of stalling whenever I made a hard left hand turn LOL but otherwise it was everything a young girl needed!! The racing stripe, the rubber bumpers, power brakes, a/c, black leather bucket seats, the whole shebang! Background story: My Dad traded cars allll the time. So one day he left in the family car, a long white Cadillac, and later that day he came into the house saying, Come look at what happened to the Caddy on my way home! I got stuck between two semis! Thinking wed see a squashed Cadillac, imagine our surprise when we saw that little Celica and I just HAD to have it! Two years later, it was mine as my graduation present. A few years later got married and then we had a baby. Sadly, I had to sell it, it was too small for our needs. I saw Barney (that was what I named the car, not our son LOL) zipping around for years and then sometime in the late 90s, no longer saw it. What a GREAT little car...thanks for the memories, ol Barney! I loved you!

I LOVED this car! was one that had the five speed. All worked beautiful, if it weren't for the rust and ruin. Drove it to Cleveland to Milwaukee many times. Kicked ass!, running faster than any other car with the five speed transmission.

Possibly the worst car I have ever owned - nothing but problems with it, particularly cylinder head. Rust bucket too - literally rusted before my very eyes. Was never so glad to tow a vehicle to the scrap yard. Would be better named coup rather than coupe. Think the ST stands for Shoddy Trash.
