Ive had my 1973 Chevy El Camino for eight months now. Its the end of September, 2023 at present. The cartruck is fifty years old and having its 50th anniversary. My uncle was the original owner and he took good care of the car all those years, even rebuilt the 454 big block thats in it. I always wanted an El Camino, and after my uncle died, I managed to talk his daughter out of it for twelve thousand dollars instead of the 25 thousand she wanted. So its staying in the family and I have never enjoyed owning a classic Chevy more than I am now. The 1970 to the 1973 year Elcos are my favorite. The 73 is the biggest and heaviest of all the El Caminos made. I like big and powerful cars, and my 73 El Camino sure is a very nice ride to own. My uncle, may he rest in peace, never even imagined that I would end up owning it.

Incredibly fast and loud.could run 10-11's in the quarter mile. burned rubber all day. Always needed repairs, paint was sick, horrible gas mileage, crazy insurance rates. most fun car to drive ever never been beat by any car including shelby gt500 and charger srt8
