Reviewed a 1970 Volvo 144 on Mar 1, 2009
It was actually a 145, but the CarGurus list doesn't have that alternative. With a built B20 it was pretty quick despite its run down looks. Rusty of course as old Volvo's usually are, but as a university student you can't afford a brand new Bimmer. With A/C it was surprisingly comfortable, good seats menas a lot and Volvo has always had them. I bought the car from my brother so that was not expensive, and since he had rebuilt the engine a couple of years before it ran well, and even better with the pair of DCOE's I added.
