Overview

The 1962 Pontiac Le Mans was actually just an option package on the compact Pontiac Tempest coupe or convertible. It offered more performance and more luxury for the driving enthusiast. Engine choices for the 1962 Le Mans package were either a 4.2-liter, 4-cylinder at 110-hp, or a 3.5-liter V8 that rated at 190-hp, which was pretty powerful for a compact, even if it did weigh in at just under two tons. The transmission was either a 3 or 4-speed manual or 2-speed automatic. Inside, the Le Mans offered carpeting throughout, special trims, and bucket seats. The Le Mans would become its own model the following year, in 1963, where it would soon rival the production numbers for the Tempest.

These little cars are very unique with a two speed automatic and transmission in the rear end for weight distribution.

Don't if I like it don't know what it's worth everything is original including owners manual. Automatic trans and air it's an Arizona car so no rust. Paint is a little faded and trim a little dented and a ding in a door nothing difficult to fix. R-7 refrigerant for factory air. Won't be driving it in the summer here. 2 door coup it's cute.
