2018 Honda Civic Type R Touring FWD Review
says:
I have never driven a car that was this much fun, and I’ve drivena ton of cars. Corvette, Camaro, Mustang, WRX STI, Golf, Veloster, Genisis R, etc. and none hold a candle to this car. Some have different things better, but as a complete package, I can’t recommend any over the Type R. I heard a review that called I said it had “Velcro stickiness” and I have to agree. There is nothing more fun than throwing this car in an corner and flooring it. Detractors complain about how quiet it is, but it’s something I find refreshing. They also complain that it looks like a “teenagers designed it”. I thought the same, but a salesman convinced me I wouldn’t care about the looks once I drove it. He wasn’t lying!! Driving this car is something you have to experience! It’s well mannered and comfortable in “comfort” mode, but a beast in +R mode. Little disappointed in cost of maintaining it because of tire cost, but that’s still conjecture. Also disappointed in dealers jacking up the price.

Power Ranked 2018 Ford Mustang GT Coupe RWD better.
"460hp versus 306hp is significant even with a difference in weight of nearly a 1000 pounds. In raw power, the Mutang is the clear winner. On a back road though, the Mustang’s power just can’t keep up withy he Civic’s handling. "
Handling Ranked 2018 Ford Mustang GT Coupe RWD worse.
"The Mustang is a pig on curvy roads. Feels heavy in every way. The Type-R on the other hand is made for the curvy roads. "
Looks/Style Ranked 2018 Ford Mustang GT Coupe RWD worse.
"Mustang is typical and almost a “me too” in some ways. Everyone has one. GT differs little in looks from a 6-cyl. The Type-R stands out and is unmistakable!!"
Front Seats Ranked 2018 Ford Mustang GT Coupe RWD worse.
"The seats grip you without being uncomfortable. They’re actually made to fit the butt if a normal sized American male. The Mustang seats a comfortable, but do not hold you at all. "
Back Seats Ranked 2018 Ford Mustang GT Coupe RWD worse.
"Type-R actually has a usable, even comfortable back seat. The Mustang is unusable in every way. "
Cargo Capacity Ranked 2018 Ford Mustang GT Coupe RWD worse.
"Hatchback just gives you much more room and availability to thatvroom. "
Family Car Ranked 2018 Ford Mustang GT Coupe RWD worse.
"Okay. If you need to get a kid in and out of a car seat, don’t buy a Mustang. If you need to have teenagers that need to sit in the back seat, don’t buy a Mustang. Unless you’re single or only a couple, don’t buy a Mustang. The Type-R however is a four door with headroom to boot. "
Value Ranked 2018 Ford Mustang GT Coupe RWD better.
"The Mustang is a lot of car for less money. The Type-R is overpriced by dealers trying to cash in on its rarity. "
