Nissan Rogue Is A Hit — I had a 2014 Subaru Forester. The Nissan Rogue blows it out of the water on so many fronts it is no contest. The fit and finish of the interior is excellent. The ride noise is so much lower than the Forester and the Bose audio system really shines in a quiet place. The seat comfort is superb. The 360 degree camera view for parking is just amazing.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: I have only had it a few days at this point so I will be focused on why I bought it.  The appearance is pleasing.  The fit and finish of the interior is really excellent.  The features for this price range of vehicle are excellent.  The 360 degree camera view for parking is nothing short of amazing.  This model came equipped with the Bose sound system.  What a nice package!

Cons: Too early to be sure for cons.  I'm still on the honeymoon so-to-speak.  If I picked on anything it would be power.  The engine is 170 hp with 175 ft. lbs of torque.  In economy mode it runs like it is hauling lead, however that is economy mode and it is trying to save you on fuel.  When not in economy mode the power is responsive and adequate.  Keep in mind this is not a sports car after all.

My New Rogue — This actually drives better than when I did the test drive. The ride is comfortable even when going over "rough" roads. The view through the outside mirrors is quite good. It has "cameras (4) so you get an "all-round" view. Still learning to "trust" them. Have not filled the tank so can't comment on fuel usage. Still learning all this "high-tech" stuff coming from a 14 year old vehicle.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great seating position. Really quite peppy, takeoff is snappy. Still new only 100 miles.

Cons: Not sure about the navigation system, seems weak compared to "add-on".

Best in class gas mileage for being an AWD vehicle 32 fwy/ 28 avg and best in class storage capacity with 70 cu. ft with 2nd row down. In my personal opinion the best CVT that simulates gear shifts and good power to weight ratio. Also an added benefit of locking AWD under 20 mph.

CVT is a little strange if youre used to a regular automatic transmission. We wanted to buy the Mazda CX 5 but it ended up being too small for us in the rear seat depth for rear facing child carseats.Thr Mazda is more fun to drive and has the manual mode shifting but I was pleasantly surprised by how nimble the steering was in the Nissan Rogue. The steering and

"CVT transmission is just strange under hard acceleration from low speeds. I didnt think I cared about 0-60 but it makes a difference on a highway on ramp. Mazda was better. CVT was plenty powerful and responsive at higher speeds. "
Back Seats Ranked 2015 Mazda CX-5 Touring AWD worse.
"Nissan rogue has a little bit more depth front to back (60/40 split seats) and they are on rails so give you several inches of play to create more space in the second row or more space in the cargo area. And they are a little wider across the back such that an adult could fit with two carseats installed."
Cargo Capacity Ranked 2015 Mazda CX-5 Touring AWD worse.
"There are shelves in the back that can be adjusted to better use the vertical space in the cargo hold. Also second row slides to create more space. The cargo cover flops around, not like the cx 5 which more nicely attaches to the hatch."
