Outstanding Value And Quality, And Tons Of Fun To Drive. — There is nothing to dislike about this car. It comes with everything and has standard features you'll find as extras on more expensive cars. The car looks great and is a blast to drive. Be sure and get a manual transmission and have some fun driving the car rather than just sitting there steering.

Pros: Outstanding value for the money. Fit and finish is excellent. Performance is excellent. No complaints whatsoever.

Cons: None to be found.

A Great Little Car — The car drives great, looks great, is put together great, gets great mileage, and we like it. We would have bought the 6 but it doesn't fit in our garage. It is a safe car too. Everyone likes the bluetooth.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Handling, looks, quality, fuel economy.

Cons: Small cargo room, tachometer.

2015 Mazda MAZDA3 i Sport Review
says:
I really liked how it gripped the curves, and it was fun to drive, but I went with the CX-5 for the superior visibility and cargo space. I drove the hatchback, which may have reduced rear visibility, but is far more practical for what I wanted. I really wanted to prefer it over the CX-5 because I could have got a smoking deal on it, but the CX-5 is just better for what I want.

Cargo Capacity Ranked 2016 Mazda CX-5 Sport better.
"Its pretty obvious, the CX-5 has a lot better cargo capacity (I compared it to the hatchback). You could probably haul a range or a washing machine in there. The CR-V has a bit better cargo space, but not as fun to drive, and I only haul things occasionally."
Would Buy Ranked 2016 Mazda CX-5 Sport better.
"Other than the price and a tiny bit of handling and pep, the CX-5 is superior in space, comfort, visibility, and hauling capacity, plus you can get features (AWD for example) not available on the Mazda3."

2015 Mazda MAZDA3 s Touring Hatchback Review
says:
This car is awesome. I felt so powerful when I was driving it, yet very in control via the great handling, and safe at the same time because of features like blind spot monitoring. The 2.5L engine in sport mode is exciting, and the heads-up display make me feel like Im in a movie. The nav system does elevate so its sitting on the dash, which is a little annoying, and the cargo space is modest, but the sleekness of the exterior will make you fall in love. Fantastic car, really fun to drive.

Cargo Capacity Ranked 2015 Volkswagen Golf 1.8T SE better.
"The Mazda looks really good on the outside, but that makes the trunk smaller. The Golfs trunk space was used very efficiently. Its very wide and there arent any curves where you cant put cargo. I also loved the pass through option for the middle rear seat on the Golf. That way two people can ride in the back in the side seats if you need to bring something bigger where youd normally have to put a side seat down in the Mazda."
Would Buy Ranked 2015 Volkswagen Golf 1.8T SE worse.
"The Mazda felt like a drivers car. It felt very powerful with the 2.5L engine and Sport mode. Even though the backseats werent as comfortable, and it didnt have as much cargo space, it had every other feature I wanted: comfortable front seats, navigation display system, simple, elegant interior, power, sleek, beautiful exterior, great handling, and excellent safety features, like blind spot monitoring."

2015 Mazda MAZDA3 s Grand Touring Hatchback Review
says:
Could not be happier. Precise steering, good pickup, silky smooth manual transmission. The stereo is so life-like Ive had to make sure I didnt hit something. Seats are supportive, air is cold, heat is hot. This is not a car for everyone, but if you care about the act of driving and need something more practical than a two-seater, this is your car for everyday driving and fun drives in the countryside.

"Mainly, that its a year newer. The one I bought has almond-color seats, which makes a big difference in the summer, though leather does breathe."
