Fantastic balance between power and handling. Surprising cargo capacity. Fit and finish is second to none. And the sound this thing makes when youve got the top down and blasting through a tunnel... soul-stirring. Must haves: Sport Chrono, full leather, sport exhaust, PASM.
Power Ranked 2006 Honda S2000 Roadster worse.
"Higher power to weight ratio. Honestly, it doesnt *feel* that much faster than the S2000 to me, but it is. The limits of the Boxster are simply higher in every category."
Front Seats Ranked 2006 Honda S2000 Roadster worse.
"The 18-way adaptive sport seats can be set to hold your body just perfectly."

Loving The New Boxster — I traded my 2006 Boxster for a 2013 Boxster S. It is fully loaded with Platinum Silver, AC/heated seats, etc. I love the new look of the Boxster and they really did a great job of redesigning it. The care is a definite head-turning machine. I get a kick out of the young kids that go by and say, "cool car man!" and give me thumbs up. Seriously, the car is amazing and is so superior to my 2006 with the new features, horsepower, and design. It is sexy, reliable, and uber fun to drive.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: New look!!!, AC/heated seats, interior design, dual information screens

    Cons: Price

Fantastic, Wonderful, Practical Sports Car — There is very little that I dislike about this car. It's comfortable, sounds awesome, quick, is beautiful, reliable, has a ton of cargo space for this type of car. It's Air Conditioning easily handles 120 days in the desert. Fantastic car.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: The most practical sports car on the market with 2 large trunks!  Easily handles Costco runs!  Gorgeous design, comfortable, handles like on rails, sounds fantastic.  A wonderful car.

Cons: With the top up, backing up requires care.

Love It, And You Owe It To Yourself To Drive This Car. Most Affordable Latest Model From Porsche. — Superb handling - 40% more rigidity than prior model still maintain daily drive comfort. Love to rev engine; superior PDK gear shifting; With top down, very quiet in cabin. Unreal gas mileage for a sport car. Finally an interior that matches the superior mechanical marvel. The 14-way sport seat is a must-have. Bottom-line for me is how well the car handles on twisty hilly road with near perfect feedback from the car as well as the flawless PDK which I can never shift gear as fast and as smooth as it does. With the superb PDK, you can easily keep the rev at 4000+ which wrings out the best torque of this car. This car loves to rev, mind you. I missed the 2 tiny seats in my previous 911. Although not suited for much use, it provides more room which is always welcomed. BTW, most people dinged the base Boxster as underpower, I actually enjoyed the base model more than the "S". Simply, it is more fun to drive.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: Superb handling
    Love to rev engine
    Superior PDK gear shifting
Very quiet in cabin as a convertible
Unreal gas mileage for a sport car - screaming 32 MPG highway, my mixed is 24.6 MPG
Luxurious interior very similar as new 991
    14-way sport seat

Cons: The blindspots when the soft-top is up.

Smooth, New, Feels And Looks Amazing! — You can't beat new...the looks the drive all seem and feel next level. I have the upgraded Wheels painted black, 6 speed, silver and black color combo. I love it after having it two weeks would change nothing, except interior care must be taken as leather is super soft, as is the interior trim! Can scratch and leave finger prints so care and a microfiber cloth nearby keeps things super clean. Dash trim has a very soft dry look only recomondation would be a little tougher trim and finish as its super soft and dry. (finger nail can Damage or scratch interior trim so be carefull. Exterior trim also has dry look and feel so I treated it with a coat of black trim protectant and it has worked well! Paint with clear coat is a must, 710 extra for matalic paint super easy to wash and looks great!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Feels so light, perfect ballence, fast. Great sound of engine and everything feels, look new...you cant beat new must drive one to see for yourself! Has perfect ballance!

Cons: Price with options can climb, interior is delicate leather is soft and feels good but again trim and interior care must be taken so not to scratch.

Was looking for a convertible Porsche. Was set on the 911, but after some intensive convincing by a few Porsche aficionados, I looked at the Boxster. They were all 911 fans and couldnt understand why I would want to cut the top off a true sports car like the 911. Lol. they were right! Boxster is the perfect roadster and looks much better than the 911 Cab. Great car in performance, style, handling, and value.

I enjoyed driving both the 2013 Porsche and 2016 Mazda. Each are excellent vehicles and there was not much of a price variance. However, the sound of the Boxsters H-6 was intoxicating and to boot, it actually had real storage capacity for weekend jaunts. Steering is direct, handling is like being on rails, and most ergonomics, fit and finish are top notch. Carving back roads will be a joy when I pick it up and take the keys of ownership.
Handling Ranked 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata worse.
"Mid engine vs front midship. "
