The 2011 is the last model year the Corolla has with the 1.8Liter 1ZZ FE, an engine with a near perfect blend of power and economy. The 2012 went to the 2ZR FE and gets less economy than the 2011, 34/25(2012) and 38/27 (2011) probably because of the CVT Transmission, unacceptable, sure it's 'smooth' and the "green rating" went down also,sure, you feel no shifting but so what? After test driving both the 2011 (Which I did like) and the 2013, (did not like) I have decided to keep my car. It's a no~brainer. I was just considering a 2011 because it's nearly the same car but 5 years newer. But with the trouble free low mileage 2006 that still has a over a year and 20,000 more miles left of "Toyota Care" (a very good thing to have) signing up for payments does not make any sense. the price went up and is a lesser car than 2011.Aug 14, 2013

This car holds its value well and I feel like I have gotten my money's worth. I prefer a car with more power, but this is my second Corolla and I have no real complaints. Maintenance costs are very reasonable with this make and model.Jul 31, 2013

It's an all out fantastic car! This car is very fun to drive till it gets a little
sideways and the trac control kicks in taking the fun out of it! cost of
ownership gas and maintainence is nice but buying price is extremely
overpriced! interior and exterior look great, build quality is exellent!

Bought Car From Fort Bend Toyota from Sam Raza to replace my 2007
Corolla CE that was wrecked by a drunk driver. Getting 33-36 mpg. A
good Sporty looking compact car. The best compact for the money. For
the 3 weeks I have had it I have enjoyed every mile so far. The car lacks
body side molding I am a little scared that the doors might get more door
dings.
I would avoid taking the car off road. If you need an off road vehicle buy a

Speedometer not functioning
I got into a minor accident and took my car in to get fixed at a local mechanic. After I picked it up there were several lights on. My ABS light, power steering, check engine light, traction control light, as well as my break light are all on. My speedometer and odometer are both not functioning. The RPMs are also running pretty high and slightly erratic. The two codes that come up are p0500 and p1604. I figured It was the front right wheel speed sensor (since thats where got hit) but I replaced it and that still didn't fix it. Any ideas? The only other thing I'm getting online is maybe the Vehicle Speed Sensor.

I was going to go get something to eat at night and I turned on my lights and they work on the outside but the dashboard was dark, could not see how fast I was going. I turn the odometer and the lights are working on the radio and temperature but nothing where the mileage, gas and speed lights are. What can it be?
