The STS-V made a flashy debut in 2006 as Cadillac's answer to foreign sports sedans. This new model comes in one base trim and sports a 4.4 L, 469 hp V8 powertrain with 6 speed automatic transmission. With 4 doors and seating for 5, the STS-V can carry around a small family in style.
Fuel consumption amounts to 14 mpg in the city and 20 on the highway. The STS-V has a long list of standard features that includes sunroof, power windows, power door locks, power/leather seats, cd player, navigation system, ABS brakes, traction control, and stability control. Cargo space comes out to 13.8 cubic feet.
Overall, the industry likes what the STS-V has to offer. The powerful V8 and smooth handling make the STS-V an intriguing choice. On the other hand, interior materials could use some work. While the STS-V gives Americans a solid domestic option for a luxury sedan, it still has a little work to do before it matches its German counterparts.

After saving here and there since 1999, I bought this car in 2014 as it was turning 8 years old and had just under 50K miles. I fully intend for this car to remain my Fast Friday Sedan and garage it on all other occasions...this is MY SLAY'D V...Apr 21, 2015

I love that you can sit in this car like a regular car, and yet have the power of a corvette with a supercharger and then some. Most importantly, you can tolerate a longer ride behind the wheel with a lot more comfortMar 20, 2015

If all you care about is awesome performance, and some excellent styling, then here you go. It has more options than most owners even know about, like voice activated everything including windows, wipers, navigation and even voice activated climate control. It is unbelievably fast, surprise anyone you pull up next to. HOWEVER, it has been horribly unreliable, and I mean horrible. In a period of only 6 month the car broke down over 40 times. I was bounced from dealers all over the place (only certain Cadillac dealers work on V series caddy) and sometimes had to get rental cars to get to the dealer that were 50 miles away. The service was completely non-existent, and since everything was special order for a rare low volume car, it took over a week to get part while car was under warranty.Aug 18, 2013

IYou won't see many on the road or be confused for any other car. Very fast car with good mpg for the amount of horsepower. The automatic start is great for those cold winter days. Only 2500 STS-V's were sold from 2006-2009. Dec 04, 2012

LOVE this car. Would not reccomend for everyone, but it is a very nice car and very fun to drive. One thing I dont like is the cost of repair parts and the tight engine bay, Other than that it is awsome.Feb 10, 2012

Im looking at buying a STSV with 63K miles on it. A little concerned about the mileage but not many of these cars around... All the reviews I've read speak to the performance but can it handle the daily grind?
