Forevercar — After saving here and there since 1999, I bought this car in 2014 as it was turning 8 years old and had just under 50K miles. I fully intend for this car to remain my Fast Friday Sedan and garage it on all other occasions...this is MY SLAY'D V...

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Deceptively Quick...

Cons: EXPENSIVE TO WORK ON

If I Had More Time From Work, This Would Be My Everyday Car — I love that you can sit in this car like a regular car, and yet have the power of a corvette with a supercharger and then some. Most importantly, you can tolerate a longer ride behind the wheel with a lot more comfort

Pros: Looks like high end luxury, although more power than anything next to you. If you want it, it's def there

Cons: If you live in the city its hard to find enough road to actually enjoy the ride of this car.

Don't Buy A Cadillac Sts-v, There Is A Reason You Can Buy A $74k Car For $24k With Only 40k Miles — If all you care about is awesome performance, and some excellent styling, then here you go. It has more options than most owners even know about, like voice activated everything including windows, wipers, navigation and even voice activated climate control. It is unbelievably fast, surprise anyone you pull up next to. HOWEVER, it has been horribly unreliable, and I mean horrible. In a period of only 6 month the car broke down over 40 times. I was bounced from dealers all over the place (only certain Cadillac dealers work on V series caddy) and sometimes had to get rental cars to get to the dealer that were 50 miles away. The service was completely non-existent, and since everything was special order for a rare low volume car, it took over a week to get part while car was under warranty.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: This was my last cadillac after about 7 of them, worst car i have ever owned.

Cons: Absolutely horrid reliability and zero help from dealers who couldn't seem to fix or or even car that I had no car which was under warranty.

Clean — IYou won't see many on the road or be confused for any other car. Very fast car with good mpg for the amount of horsepower. The automatic start is great for those cold winter days. Only 2500 STS-V's were sold from 2006-2009.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Total package.

Cons: None

Sweet Ride — LOVE this car. Would not reccomend for everyone, but it is a very nice car and very fun to drive. One thing I dont like is the cost of repair parts and the tight engine bay, Other than that it is awsome.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: driving is a blast!

Cons: poor fuel econ. and repair costs

Guru1KB56 says:
Fast and stylish car that turns heads and handles like a small sports car and has a very stiff ride, it’s really happy at freeway speeds for it to be comfortable. Some parts are no longer available and have to be made by a fabrication shop. Has a lot of electronic glitches that have to constantly get addressed. Engine is strong and reliable and gives no troubles. Biggest problems with car is wheel bearingsi went through three sets, rear differential bearing and seals, and catalytic converters constantly go bad. First around 35,000 then around 100,000 after that I deleted them 4,000 plus to get replaced got tired of that, but the car got wrecked with close to 200,000 miles. It’s a great car if you can afford to keep up on the maintenance and not let it get neglected otherwise it can be a nightmare.
