I've owned this van for about 6 years. I hauls 7500lbs resonably well, and has an incredable about of interior room. Even use it for camping sometimes. A queen air matress fits int he back with room to spare.
Economy is poor, but to be expected with a vehicle like this. Reliabilty has been very good, even at 208,000 miles.Mar 21, 2012

1996 E250 cranks but won't start after tree broke windshield
Hi, I've got a 1996 E250 van that was running fine, but while parked, a tree fell and broke the windshield while I was out of town. It did some minor body damage, but nothing that seems (visually) like it obviously affected fuel or electrical wires and lines other than knocking out a headlamp (by puncturing the fiberglass hood and knocking the passenger headlamp and some headlamp trim out the front...headlamp electrical connector is still present in engine compartment). Some water has entered the passenger side through the broken windshield and has gotten between the broken glass and top of dashboard, or maybe also in through the defrost vents on the dash and has come out where the blower motor is in front of the passenger sear near the floor. I've seen a trickle of water coming out by the front passenger foot area, but it's either exited out of the front passenger door on the floor near the hinge, or evaporated over a day or so. Engine cranks, but won't start. Where should I look for clues? Thanks in advance, HeadScratcher

Engine quit would not restart
Changed fuel pump and filter but did not help. The van has been running good. But today about 5 miles from home, the engine began to run rough then go, then rough then go. Then engine died and would not start again

ford E350 won't start when cold.
I have a Ford E350 with 7.5 liter gas engine. It runs great when the weather is nice but on cold mornings it won't start. It cranks over just fine. But the engine won't catch. This morning temperatures were about 50 degrees so no where near freezing. And it still wouldn't start. We struggled with it all last year too. When I heat the top of the engine with a space heater it will eventually start. I've already checked for spark and replaced the distributor cap and rotor. My guess is that the fuel injectors are gummed up or something so they have a hard time opening. But it runs fine in warm weather. Does anyone have experience with this?
