The 1993 Chevrolet Corvette had a special 40th Anniversary model available: a Ruby Red Exterior with Ruby Red interior, priced at $1445 for coupes and convertibles on both the standard LT-1 and ZR-1. Other than the 40th Anniversary model, the Corvette remained visually unchanged from the 1992 model. The Z07 suspension package was offered again for 1993.
Under the hood, however, the ZR-1 had gained some pep: the 5.7-liter RPO LT5 V8 was boosted to 405 horsepower. The base model remained the same at a 5.7-liter, 350-ci V8 rated at 300 horsepower.

Nice vehicle great color, and the body is elegant. The pricing is reasonable so the value is awesome. The only thing I seen wrong with the car is the right inside door handle and window handle are missing, and the antenna is also. But over all the car looks great. Oct 20, 2023

Most simply the car does what you want it to. The steering is a little heavy but in a way that helps to inspire confidence when ripping around a corner at speed. Then while it may not be the fastest thing on the road these days it will still put you in your seat when you hit the gas.Feb 10, 2023

1993 marked the 40th anniversay of the Corvette. In doing so.
Chevrolet offered an limited edition 40th anniversary edition.
Theses vettes are starting to increase in value. Due to their age.
They were only offered in Ruby Red exterior. With either Black or matching Ruby Red leather interor.
The anniversary editions are on average 10-15% higher in value. Depending on their condition.

The 1993 Corvette is an affordable muscle car. It cruises great! like any older car, dependability relies on the former owners dedication to regular maintenance and sensible driving habits. Many little foibles in design have been handled by aftermarket companies and are usually not too costly. Getting in and out can be tricky if you are not very limber and coordinated. The wall, as its called, requires you to lift your legs over it to get out. Its almost impossible to get in and close the door at the same time. You see many people have broken the headlight switch assembly by bumping it with their knees. At slower speeds the steering and turning requires some effort. These cars are way underpriced and a good bargain. Ive had mine for 5 years and enjoy driving it on weekends through the winding roads of northern Arkansas. Thats when you can really appreciate the engineering of the car. My 93 feels as stable at 95 mph as it does at 35mph. I love that it has a CD player and a cassette player and a lighter and ashtray. Outdated features. Value highly depends on prior owners effort to take excellent care of the Corvette. The C5 sits low to the ground and so the undercarriage must be inspected,
also, research other problems associated (specifically) with the 1993. I believe that the totally badged, merlot-type color, 50th Anniversary, is more likely to have been carefully driven, .....but, not always. Compare this car to the 2003 BMW Z4 before you purchase either.Jun 26, 2021

Great car to take long rides with and go to cruise nights. Put the top down and enjoy. Not enough storage to take over night trips with, unless you install the optional luggage rack, or travel light. Car runs and handles fantastic, pure power. The brakes work exceptionally well, will stop on as dime.Oct 10, 2013

At the time, an incredibly powerful car. The Z07 package had the ZR-1
suspension and brakes without the additional weight and power. Excellent car
for daily driving and weekend competition. Could get as much as 31 mpg on
freeway driving. Original Z07 brakes are weak. Put 6 piston Wilwood brakes on

The car has close to 500 HP, handles like a slot car and has an awesome sound system. It is almost like a toy. It is a Quasar Metallic Blue with a black leather interior. It has every option available. Gas mileage, if you keep it on cruise in sixth gear is over 33 MPG. My biggest complaint is about the cup holders. You can't shift into reverse without knocking over the cups. It can be expensive to own but worth every penny.May 13, 2009

There are C4 Corvettes, and then there are ZR1s. Out of the 6000+ ZR1s, fewer than 1500 were built in the final three years of production with the 405hp LT5. Out of these, only the first 230 cars for 1993 still had the high torque transmission. This is #82, an Arctic White example with light gray leather, one of just 11 for the model year. It's far more car than we have roads for in the US, but the occasional outburst keeps it healthy.May 09, 2009

Performance- Excellent. I have driven faster cars, but this car is very fast.
Build quality- Not that great, but it is good for an American car. Lots of plastic, and some parts are falling off, but its not too bad.
Appearance- I like the exterior, it has a nice "long hood, short deck" look to it. I dont care for the flip up headlights though.
Cost of Ownership- Excellent! Car gets about 27mpg on average and parts are easy to find and not too expensive.
Fun factor- Awesome! Car handles very well and has a good balance to it. Wide tyres put power down very well. Let me take you for a ride. You'll understand. ;)Oct 26, 2008

The C4 is a simple but fun sports car. Its driving compartment engulfs the driver, giving him or her the feel of a race car. The car gives great feedback and sensations while driving and is fun to push to the limit.Apr 03, 2008

This year, '93 was my first Vette. Purchased it from my neighbor who bought it new in March of '93 raced it in SCCA solo I. The day he brought it home I told him that if he were to ever sell it I would take it. He sold it ,I bought it.
Car features the Z07 performance package, 6 speed trans, all power options, CD, electronic A/C. and a few options that only one with connections to GM could get. Compared to my '81 fit and finish is flawless. Power is tremendous for a 3300 pound car. Interior is user friendly in every respect except entry and exit. Braking is far superior to the C3 Vettes as is handling. This Vette is fun and commands looks very where it goes, has won awards at car shows and is just plain fun to drive. Would I buy another, yes.
