I Love My Truck!!! — When I moved from Florida to Pennsylvania I was told I SHOULD get rid of my Honda and get a 4WD vehicle. I traded my 97 Honda for my 92 Explorer. Ball joints were bad but expected. Very little rust even in the Northeast!!! Starts and runs great everytime I turn the key. 4WD handles even the iciest winter!!! I am and always will be a Ford girl!!!

Pros: Total beater...can't kill it!!!

Cons: Fuel consumption pretty bad

Good Vehicle To Own. — Vehicle has great acceleration, braking, handling, and ground clearance. Have had some minor repairs done (Water pump, Clutch, and Head Gaskets) but should be expected since vehicle has over 200,000 miles on it. Still has original interior with exception of divers seat (Replaced only do to seat back broke). Very reasonable cost of ownership. Very fun to drive on and off the road.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Very good family vehicle or off road toy.

Cons: The exhaust pipe routing around the transmission bellhousing.

Relible, Cheap, And Fun To Drive. — With the 5 speed manual transmission this truck is fun to drive. The perfomance of the 4.0 v6 is pretty good, it gets up and goes, but isnt amazing. Depending on driving habits I was able to get about 22 mpg. Easy to work on and parts are pretty cheap.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Sounds amazing with muffler delete and 2.5 in tailpipe. Turns heads when they hear this coming and the look on peoples faces is great when they realize its this exlpoder making the noise.

Cons: Handling sucks, especially if you try to drive it like a sports car. Electronic 4 wheel drive system is CRAP.

Great Ride — I love this SUV. unfortunately It finally gave up the ghost at over 375,000 miles on it with no major work done on it other than a rebuilt transmission. It was always a blast to drive around town with my friends in tow. i would highly recommend this or any Ford truck to a friend

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Reliablility. Nuff said, it did everything that i asked of it.

Cons: Not many downers besides gas mileage but that can be fixed.

I Love It And Some Old Lady In Griffth In Would Be Driving It In The Winter — Rusty but trusty the 4.0L v6 is great on gas for a truck with 202,00 miles with 12.5 MPG the gas cost about $65.00 a week due to 155hp engine when the 4wd is engaged i would get 10.5 MPG when the roads are flooded or snow covered i tuned the lockout in the traction is great

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: I lasted 20 years and still runing for a Ford

Cons: Gas Millage

I Won't Sell It Either Cause All The Problems Can Be Fixed... I Even Like The Style. — I love this truck. It was cheap, it runs great, even with small mechanical problems it still toughs through. Leaking anti-freeze AND oil, all i have to do is keep it full and it starts everytime. 4.0 V6, plenty of power, although a 302 would have been a lot better.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: It was cheap and it still runs.

Cons: Reputation?

Never Gonna Give It Up. — It go 0 to 60 in 5 seconds. Never needed repairs. Exterior looks like new. interior looks like now. 20 mpg. This SUV is so awesome to drive. Excellent handleing. I can to a complete power slide without it tipping over.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Fast and powerful

Cons: dont want to get hit by it.

Awesome Winter Truck! — Performance- Decent for a tank. Not a blazing rocket but has pretty good power for it's size. Handling is little to be desired of though, braking is good. Build Quality- Solid SUV, 307km and still trucking! It does squeek a little and working on the engine is a complete PITA. Appearance- It's a boxy generic looking SUV, Not much, else to say. Cost of Ownership- Fuel Mileage is great considering 4x4 is on for more than 1/2 of its time on the road with me. I have had to replace the intake gasket, front brakes, and 1 fuel injector that didnt work. Fun Factor- Don't drive it in anything other than snow, but it is AMAZING in the snow and has never gotten stuck. Great traction and plows through huge snow banks with no issues. Great for a winter beater!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: 4x4 with this is AWESOME in the winter, decent power, really easy to manuever around.

Cons: Boxy look, Rocker panels love to rust away...

It Is A Fair Car For Being Old,do Not Forget Is A Ford, and Ford S Good Like Gmc — Performance, acceleration, breaking good, doen't handle so good maybe because is an old truck,it was built to last wich is best quality in Ford's vehicles, lately had needed some repairs plus I changed schocks, tires, brakes, repair A/C system, fuel pump, belts, staff like that to keep it in the best shape that I can get, interior great conditions changed everything, sucks a lot of gas and with actual gas prices no good for my pocket, regular maintenance LOF,normal, yeah is fun to drive specially with stereo ful blast it,windows down, enjoy the day!!!!!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Convenient, reliable for my job and weather.

Cons: Unless they can make it handle better,I would not get it
