Let's start this article with a long, slow whistle through the teeth. That's how good the 1991 Chevrolet Corvette looked then, and can still look now if you can find a good one to restore. In the middle of the C4 generation, Chevy revamped its Corvette, and the 1991 was the result. Details that had been limited to only the ZR-1s in 1990 were now on all models, including the rear convex fascia which would grow to be an identifying feature for the Corvettes of the early 90s. Of course, as much as we want to buy Corvettes for their beauty, the power is what keeps us. The ZR-1 engine was a 350-ci, 5.7-liter monster capable of 375 horsepower at 5800 rpm. Driving felt like flying when I was behind the wheel of my old 'vette. Just another footnote. The ZR1 model Vette is 3" wider in the rear than a normal Vette to fit the 11" wide rear wheels. The ZR1 was powered by a Lotus Engineering designed, 4 cam, 350ci, all aluminum LT5 V8, that produced between 375 and 405hp depending on the year of production. :)

These have always been my favorite model and generation of Corvette. 91 is the last year for the L98 motor and the car has the updated body from the ZR1. Half classic muscle, have high tech sports car. The C4 is amazing to drive and they are very affordable nowAug 24, 2022

Radios are not that reliable however, this is a good value. The engines are reliable, ride smooth. Radio power antennas can be problematic. Be sure to run often during storage, to prevent build up in fuel filter.

Great fun car. As I said with allthe upgrades this car is very fast but the the ride I s a little ruff. This car was a gift. It hadbeen sitting in a garage for 6 years. After a full round of filters fluids the car runs great andis a head turner.Feb 01, 2015

Wish it had the adjustable gas/brake peddles. Seems good on gas and it corners nicely. It is fun to drive and had good acceleration. If you are short-waisted (like me) you may need a pillow to sit on as you ride low to the ground (which looks cool, but a little hard to see over the bonnet!!)Jul 28, 2014

It's a fun car to drive, and always turns heads. While fueling up I'm constantly getting compliments on the car. The gas mileage at 23MPG is phenominal! Although the top is down during the majority of my driving, the top goes up in ~ 15 seconds or less whenever there's that chance of rain. i bought this corvette with 41thousand miles on the clock,the car has been reliable and never breaking down,i have 84thousand miles on it now,i replace the alternator,starter,plugs,wires every 36 months and a tune and service on regular basis.a corvette can be a money pit if you dont stay on top of it and take prevenitive measures to ensure optimal conditions.for the best handling you must run on high end performance tires.i love everything about this corvette and the build quality is exceptional.the 1991 corvette does need larger brake calipers as the oem brakes are not sufficient for braking,the bose stereo is very good,clean and crisp.Jan 14, 2013

GREAT CAR, looks good,feels good driving. drives straight. does not pull. breaks are new. stops great.engine feels like new.just tuned up..top is in great condt. tires are good.everything in it works. air cond. is great. can not find a thing wrong with it.has new battery. no damage.electric everything..

It is very dependable,fast and with the new tires it holds the road and corners like its glued to the road. and the color changes depending on how you look at it in the sunlight. never been in the shop except for routine maint,and has never broken down while on a trip, seats hold you firm in the car and are very comfortable. the car is a blast to drive, and i always feel safe driving in it. i would recommend the car to any one who wants to own a vette. i use the car for good days driving. its a pleasue driven vehicle. It also gets great gas milage in the city and on the road, fire it up and here the v-8 rumble and your ready to go.Jul 31, 2011

Even though it is a 1991, I bought it new. It has a 5.7 TPI 250 HP, it has Incredible Power, Handling, and The Fact that is my first Brand New

We are enjoying the car. We live in central Fl.and took it out yesterday with the top off. The vette is red and we get compliments all the time. I enjoy the pickup when you push it .The previous owner installed wide stainless exhaust tips which are very attractive from the rear.The lumbar pump on the drivers side does not work nor the c d player otherwise it seems totally flawless.
