1990 Acura Legend LS Coupe FWD Review
Trevan says:
vs1990 Buick Riviera Coupe FWD
1990 Acura Legend LS Coupe FWD winning categories:
Looks/Style
Ranked 1990 Buick Riviera Coupe FWD better.
"I think the 1990 Riviera looks better because of its graceful sloping tail, its waterfall grille, hood ornament, tasteful uses of chrome without looking overdone, and the formal roof line."
Cargo Capacity
Ranked 1990 Buick Riviera Coupe FWD worse.
"The trunk on the Riviera is large, but shallow. The sloping tail does not allow you to carry items that are average to tall in size. The rear seat does not fold down either. however, the trunk floor is wide and flsat, so you can lay tall objects on their side to accomodate. The trunk opens above the tail lights so there is a high lift over to put things in the trunk and to remove them." |

Just The Best Coupe Acura Ever Built — I bought my Legend off my Uncle back in 2005 With 86,xxx Original Miles, He was the original owner, bought it BRAND NEW back in 1990... My Acura was the only Legend in town, never saw one like mine.. Everyone just kept asking me "Where did you get that car"? or "How much you want for it"? I felt very glad because I told them "Sorry is not for sale".. I had never seen this Coupe before.. I loved her S Mode (Sport), and its V6 engine.. so strong and its handling was awesome.. When I first drove it, I felt in love with the leather interior, and leather steering wheel.. Still have it and running strong with 215,xxx miles... Got her a nice Clear coat refresh and looks like NEW.. :) Never tasted salt in winters.. Never gave me any mechanical problems except for Oil change/transmission Oil, Timing Belt change.. (Recent I had done) Going to keep it in a garage so maybe I can go to an Show Room Some day ;)
Pros:
Listers Noise at Winter Start Up
Cons:
A/C |

I Loved It — Acceleration, braking, and handling we're all great. It needed a lot of repairs when I got it, but still ran like a champ with 297,xxx miles on it. It was a great car. It was stolen from us a while back and that is why it needed the repairs it got. There was some body damage done to it, but not from wear and tear. From people pulling things off it. It was great on gas, but I also didn't drive it too much. This car, was GREAT to drive. Really fun :) Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Great, sporty, sleek, luxurious. Cons: Electrical problems occur |

Get One So You Too Can Talk Pasionately About It On Facebook Apps. — This was my 1st and best car. In Australia they are called Honda Legends, not Acura. I had the 1990 model and it was so very ahead of its time, it had power everything and was a pleasure to drive. You could comfortable achieve top speeds without sacrificing comfort. For an Older car all the seals were great so it was such a quiet ride, but when you put your foot down there would still be a roar. In the 2 door coupe, the back seats are not neglected at all with their own power windows and bucket seats. Guys i just realized me saying all this makes me want one again so ill stop. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Drive in style, comfort with the performance. Cons: Expencive to fix problems, |

A Proper Driver's Car If The Skidpad And Slalom Means More To You Than 0-60 And The 1/4 Mile. — Exceptionally quiet around town while still reasonably quiet on the highway, good fuel economy for a car of its age, spirited (if only adequate) acceleration, roomy interior with all the right power accessories...the best bit was the handling, with light, precise steering with excellent road-feel; it just seemed to dance from one corner to the next. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Among FWD cars, the ultimate canyon carver Cons: 160hp V6 does the job but won't impress |

Good First Car — The 2 door acura Legend I owned was alright. It was my first car so not that nice but the interior was my favorite part the leather and electric seats were a nice feature. The engine was not that great, but what ever it was my first car I only owned it for 3 months. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Interior Cons: Everything else |

What A Great Car — I bought my first car 40 years ago and have owned more cars than I can remember from $100 clunkers to BMWs. This was the finest car I have ever owned bar none. The only reason I sold after 6 years was because I got a company car, the 3.5 RL. The difference was with my Legend when I saw a curve I put on the gas with RL I put on the brake. I just bought a new MDX which I love. No car gave me the handling, snow capacity, luxury, ride, and ease of the Legend. My late father in law, who had a bad word for everything asked me if he could drive to NJ from MA once in the snow, and came back and said "What a great car" He was so right. My kids wanted me to keep until they were 16. I wish I did. Pros: handling, driving in snow, luxury, layout, everything Cons: around 85K things did start to go |

Best Luxury Car Of Its Time — Nice leather interior and great acceleration from a stop. 2.7 liter v6 produces power from as low as 3000 rpm and keeps the car running up to 6500 revs for a maximum output of 160 horsepower. ride is smooth and cornering is excellent. for an 18 year old car, this is a terrific ride Pros: Everything Cons: old age |

90 Acura Legend — Parts can be rather expensive. Bought it used very smooth ride. Also very fast, reliable. major troubles will cost you a pretty penny. gas mileage is excellent. runs like new even with 155xxx miles. Definitely worth every penny and more. Loads of space, looks great, wonderful first car. Would recommend for anyone wanting an acura legend l or even ls serries Pros: fast, fun sporty Cons: poor turning radius |

Good, But Could Be Better — I also bought this car off of Ebay and it was immaculate. It was 14 years old when I bought it and only 55k miles. Not a door ding, scratch, NOTHING. Too bad it wasn't taken care of. It had the original timing belt and had to be change since it wouldn't have survived the desert heat. Also from lack of use, the A/C compressor seals leaked and had to be replaced (No A/C in Las Vegas? are you kidding?) The interior was great and very well laid out with a very modern and oddly accurate trip computer. My only complaint was the 5 speed automatic was never happy. If you wanted it to get up and go, you'd have to floor it and almost redline it or just a slight hill would make it downshift which got old. Pros: trip computer Cons: transmission |
