Its 2024 and my daily is my first car I bought and that is my 1973 Ford Pinto, shes never broke down on me once, always reliable and is a blast to drive, they only got a bad rep because of the CEO of Ford at the time and his poor choice of words, the Pinto was no safer or dangerous then any other import or small car in 73.Jan 02, 2024

I liked the little pinto , I feel like it would be better if the same body had been a big V8. The four cylinder 4 speed car was still a good car it rarely let us down, and the maintenance was usually simple and inexpensive.Dec 19, 2013

The explodo-mobile! Known to burst into flames with a rear impact at almost any speed. The recall involved a big piece of plastic between the rear axle and the gas tank, new straps for the tank, a new filler neck, and a big ring around the gas cap to try and grab onto some metal that hadn't rusted through. The 2.0L engine was a sweet little thing that was a joy to tune. Another great car to learn how to work on cars. Bought it for $200, drove it for four years, and sold it for $200. Aug 12, 2008
