1966 Chevrolet Corvette Preview summaryImage

Remember the days when a 300-horsepower engine came standard, but an AM/FM radio option would cost you about $200? If so, you might remember the 1966 Chevrolet Corvette, an incredible machine. 9958 Sport Coupes were produced, and 17,762 Convertibles.

A variety of engines were available, including the 427 big block. The 427-ci V8 had two versions, rated at 390 and 425 horsepower. Any of the engines would get the driver to his or her destination in a hurry and in style. Truly one of the most beautiful Corvettes, the 1966 helped to usher in the big-block era in style.

Until it has 600 horsepower I have to give it 4 out of 5 stars. Considering it is an antique, this is an awesome car to drive. I have used it as a daily driver and a fun car on thousand mile road trips, as well as track days. It sucks the gas tank dry, so be prepared to bring your credit card if you want to go on a long trip!Apr 02, 2010

Cool car when it is done, 327ci with 350 hp output. Green in colour and still has matching sidepipes. Can't wait until she is done.Mar 15, 2008
