Full-time 4-wheel drive (4WD) is delivered by Land Rover’s highly regarded Terrain Response system, which lets the driver set the suspension to any of 5 settings: General, Grass/Gravel/Snow, Mud/Ruts, Sand or Rock Crawl. The experts have nothing but good things to say about the LR4 when it gets off the road. They like it on pavement, too, but there they feel it meets its match at times and that it still handles a little roughly and has some body roll.
