2008 Volkswagen Passat Reviews

Car does what I need it to do but the colour is not what I ordered. VW UK not interested in helping me out. What a load of C#*P. On the positive it has a huge boot to fit all the kids in. Leather seats are great and the I-pod attachment works better than the Audi.

My wife and I are expecting our first baby so we decided it was time to trade in the little sports car for something more family oriented. We were looking for either a small SUV or a family car. After driving the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and Acura RDX, we decided not to go with the small SUV. While they have the space we want, the handling is just not there and they drink gas like Uncle Charlie downs Bourbon.

We then went to VW, intending to look at the Jetta. But this candy white Passat Wagon in the show room caught my eyes. It looks good from the outside, the interior is first rate, and the cargo space is amazing. From the looks of it, this is the perfect car for somebody looking for the space without having to fuel up every other day. I still wasn't convinced though, with the stereotype associated with wagons floating through my head. So we took it out for a drive.

MAN! If I was lead into the driver seat blind folded, I would've never guessed I was driving a station wagon. The 2.0T engine is just so smooth and willing. I don't know why car magazines keep raving about Honda's high rev engines. With a Honda you have to drive it like it's stolen to get the juices out. With this power plant, everything is effortless. The fat torque curve makes passing or climbing uphill a breeze. Braking is good too, with good paddle feel and the tires gripping well even in wet weather. The handling is awesome - first ride without being harsh, and the car takes corners well for something this size. Also, being in the era of high fuel prices that we live in, this car provides V6 performance with I4 fuel economy.

The interior looks like something out of a way more expensive car. The material is first rate, the touches are delightful, the driver seat moves in every direction you can think of, the steering wheel is telescopic, the stereo sounds great, and the aux in in the centre console plays music from my iPod with crystal clear sound. (by the way, just TRY the Honda Accord stereo. It sounds like a cheap clock radio compared to this).

I was sold! The car drives great, looks great, the interior is super comfy, and it has all the cargo room I will ever need. And it has the stealth factor that I like in my car. Just earlier today at a red light, this little Civic was revving his engine like he's the king of the world. He probably thought I was driving some grandpa wagon. You should've seen the look on his face when I totally smoked him~~~

I think it's a very elegant car, and has a gorgeous appearance!! But it's also a sport car, definetly it's an amazing car that mixes the sport and the luxury class!
It has a sport biult, but in it has got a luxury stile!
It's the car that i've ever wanted to have!

Passat presents a comfortable and upscale cabin.
Passats come very well equipped with safety features.
Fuel economy ranges from very good.
I love this car. Excellent build quality, comfortable, quiet, good MPG, and some really nice features.
