Use it for everything. I've had it on a track and it handles great. It tows 2000lbs only because of the hitch. I've had one on issue with my sun visor not lighting up all the time. Its hard to clean under the front seats (only in one spot on both sides).
Pros:
Fuel ecconomy. 30% increase in power AND fuel ecconomy with a $700 computer upgrade (no gas engine can claim that). Easy to work on (and I've been all over this thing).
Cons:
If you need a pick-up this will be too small :). There is no other reason not to buy a car like this!

Performance and economy. Awesome! Looks good out of past and current golf range. Solid build qualty. When you put your foot down the torque is incredible and pulls you back into your seat. You never knew that a diesel could be any better. Cheap on car tax and insurance premium.
Pros:
Incredible engine. 6 speed
Cons:
Can be expensive to repair

Great car, very reliable German built, have had no problems with my car, The preformance is impressive as the car is quite heavy and is only a 1.6, with a 40MM drop and bigger Alloys fitted the handling is unbelievable, This car is extremely fun to drive and looks great i recommend to anyone looking for a small hatchback.
Pros:
Good Handling, Looks great, German, Fun to drive
Cons:
Heavy, Understeers in the wet [though i do throw it into corners :-) ]

I have the GT Tdi UK Spec version not listed i the selection, its 150bhp Diesel engine with a bucket load of Torque,
Pros:
Fuel Economy, 45mpg on daily drive, 55mpg on motorway
Cons:
Boot not as big as some cars in class, expensive to buy, service, repair.

Pros:
Pretty good acceleration and great speed, well balanced off handling
and great steering response that offer a comfortable or aggressive ride, depending on the driver.
Cons:
Not fit for extremely tall people.

Safety is not an optional with volkswagen.
Cons:
Avoid off-roading of any kind. Kit is extremely low.

I love my car. I's stunning. The only down side is that I drive a 2.slow. Little pick up. It makes a lot of noise, the engine purrs...but it goes nowhere. I enjoy the gas mileage. I tend to get about 300+ a tank. I had to strip the sticky plastic off the interior. I couldn't handle it. I installed smoked tail lights by hella. My car is so fun to drive. And it SCREAMS "Sara" every time you see it!
Pros:
It drives like a german car should!
Cons:
Cost of parts...and the engine size.

very reliable good but needs a body kit the qaulity of the car is spectactular the top speed is very fast i have a tousand pound body kit on my car and two thousand pounds worth of music equipment init
