2002 Used Honda Civic LX Review

  Slow starting out in first gear, but I can beat some V6's off the line. Great handling. You can't go wrong with getting 35-45 mpg depending on where you drive. Have had to bring it in once to get the struts fixed. Custom exhaust from headers back and an AEM v2 air intake on it help with mileage and give it a little bit more HP.
Pros:
Good body style. Comfortable interior. Looks small but is quite roomy inside. Tall people can actually sit in the back. 5-speed Manual is the way to go.
Cons:
A little noisy on the highway but that's partially my fault. They didn't build them to be soundproof.

This is a wonder vehicle. It has served me well over the years. It still gets great gas milage (32-36 mpg) after 6 years. Only a few blemishes in the paint from rock chips over time. I have only had to complete the normal maintance schedule on it. Besides new tires and a battery. The only downside is it is not a family car. With two children now it is not feasible for two children in car seats. In the process of search for a new vehcile for this reason. However I still plan to keep the civic because of its realiabilty.
Pros:
dependable, good gas milage
Cons:
Excellenty for someone single, not for someone with children

The first car i owned under my name. It was such a nice build quality, never broke, never went to get anything fixed once that wasn't my own fault.
Pros:
It was fast when i supercharged it, handled like a crazed demon with all the bars
Cons:
I had to supercharge it... it should have come with the k20a2 off the bat.

I LOVED this car! Great performance, great looks and it put a grin on my face literally every day! Plus it popped my track cherry when I took it round Donnington, and Silverstone. :)
Pros:
Barrell of laughs to drive - big grin when the VTEC kicked in.
It was still exclusive when I bought it the day after I turned 22, and never once skipped a beat in 30,000 miles of ragging it (2005-2007) A bit of a head turner. 0-60 in 6.6 seconds, 150mph top end. Sounded great, handled great, looked great!
Cons:
I went through front tyres raaaather quickly.
Fuel bills would be silly on it now. The chavs have picked it up! Every twenty something seems to be driving one now. Cant fault the car itself though - loved every minute of it! |

The civic legacy rolls on... this seventh gen. has been a very reliable car for many years and many more to come. it just adds to honda's reputation for building extremely reliable and fuel efficient cars. I will always stay with honda, without a doubt.
Pros:
For 105h.p. non v-tec...this car is extremely quick, kind of reminds me of the much earlier civics and crx's with even less h.p. that were very fast also.
Cons:
Input Shaft Bearing's are a problem that plague virtually all manual hondas, No V-tec

I absolutely love my car, a Honda civic is the ideal first car, it has just enough speed/acceleration to be fun, but is also great on gas mileage :). i would most definitely recommend this car to anyone looking for one

nice handling, fuel efficient, body is good... nice head unit, but i added sound set up.. so so stock rims but i changed it to concept one mags. spacious in inside.. engine doesn't have any problem.. i can say, it's nice to have one..

Very good for small family of 4. Quick response when it comes to accelerating and stopping. Very economic on gas mileage. Ease and comfortable to go around. Easy to park. Very fun to drive. Best car make for a couple of years. Give it a try you will not regret it.

Very dependable, some radiator and ignition issues. Not a bad car, but I think it's not a smooth body style and highway driving seems a little scary in such a small car because it bounces constantly! AWESOME gas mileage! Interior appearance is lacking for sure, but at least the seats are comfortable, I owned the first year of this generation brand new as well and it was a 2 door.
Pros:
Fuel effeciency is all here!
Cons:
Limited power and leg room for peopel over 6' (me)

Great Car but i ran it into the ground. I recently replaced 2 bushings in the front suspension and i replace all of the brake pads. That was about 1 grand and it also needs either a repair or an all together new transmission. If i get it fixed i will probably hunt around for a rebuilt transmission for cheap. However, what is probably going to happen is im going to sell it soon and my dad may or my not give me his VW Passat.
Pros:
Good car, Very reliable if you take care of it.
Cons:
5 speed manual doesn't hold up too well for someone who pushes the car to the limit.
