2009 Nissan Sentra 2.0 SL

Combining fuel efficiency and upscale features, the 2009 Nissan Sentra 2.0 SL offers a number of features not found on the 2.0 and 2.0 S trims, including leather seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Bluetooth wireless technology, and Nissan's Intelligent Key keyless entry and ignition system. The six-speaker premium audio system, which includes speed-sensitive audio control, an MP3 input jack, and steering-wheel-mounted audio controls, adds XM satellite radio. In addition, an integrated overhead CD holder adds to the SL's numerous storage spaces. Other standard interior features include cruise control, air conditioning, power windows and door locks, and a trip computer. The driver's seat manually adjusts six ways, including height, while the passenger seat manually adjusts four ways. Safety features include front-seat-mounted side-impact airbags and roof-mounted side-curtain airbags. Owners can add heated front seats as part of a Premium Package. Exterior features include front foglights and power exterior mirrors.

A 2.0-liter, double-overhead-cam four-cylinder engine powers the 2.0 SL. The engine produces 140 hp and 147 lb-ft of torque, and pushes the front-wheel-drive sedan from 0 to 60 in 8.6 seconds. The engine links to an Xtronic CVT (continuously variable transmission). Fuel economy numbers check in at 26/34 mpg. Electric power-assisted steering, ripple-control shock absorbers, four-wheel antilock brakes, and electronic brakeforce distribution, which adjusts the braking pressure to each wheel during emergency situations to ensure optimal stopping power, all come standard. The Sentra 2.0 SL rides on 16-inch, seven-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels.
