Preview of 2009 Ford Fusion SE
Like the S, the 2009 Ford Fusion SE is equipped with a five-speed manual transmission, which generates 29 miles per gallon - and 467 miles per tank - from its 2.3-liter, 16-valve inline four engine. It also features the same equipment standard for all Fusions, but its amenities offer a bit more excitement and luxury.
Riding on 16-inch machined-aluminum wheels and lit by foglamps in front, the SE includes a 6-way power driver's seat and a fold-down front passenger seat, both of which also have their own illuminated mirror on the sun visor. This trim is also equipped with an in-dash 6-CD changer that plays through six speakers, Sirius satellite radio, a message center with trip computer, and wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls. The air conditioning and tires are the same as for the S, though only in the SE does Ford offer its "Sun and SYNC package" that includes a power moonroof as well as voice-activation for its entertainment system.
