The 2008 Ford Fusion SE offers drivers a mid-level package of standard features that includes a six-way power-adjustable driver's seat, powered side mirrors, a fold-down passenger seat, a message center with a trip computer, steering-wheel-mounted audio and speed controls, and a six-speaker AM/FM stereo system with an in-dash six-disc CD player and an MP3 input jack.

Other features include 16-inch aluminum wheels, fog lamps, antilock brakes, and a tire pressure monitoring system, as well as an illuminated entry system, cruise control, air conditioning, power windows, dual-stage front airbags, side curtain airbags, and quad halogen headlamps.

Ford dropped a 160-horsepower, 2.3-liter inline Duratec four-cyclinder engine under the hood of the Fusion SE. It links to either a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.

Options include the Ford Sync communications connectivity system, which enables hands-free access to cell phones and MP3 players (due late in the 2008 model year), as well as an optional Sport Appearance Package.
