Hyundai Accent History

The Hyundai Accent is a compact economy car; in most markets, it's been priced attractively, with a sticker closer to its subcompact competition.  Introduced in 1995, the Accent has a decent performance record for its price point, and a good history of fuel efficiency.

Hyundai offers the Accent in a choice of two bodystyles: a four-door sedan and a three-door hatchback.  Both stack up pretty well against higher-priced competitors, although there's nothing particularly innovative about Hyundai's design.

Current Hyundai Accent models are the third generations since the line was introduced, and the look of the car has evolved from its econobox origins into something a little more stylish.  Many drivers praise their Accent's reliability and affordability.
